Change Your Air Filters

Changing your air filter is a low-effort task that packs a high reward. When you’re turning up the heat this season, your heater is pulling in air through your air filter and then releasing it back into your home. If your air filter is dirty or clogged, not only are you getting dirty air recycled back into your home but you are also forcing your furnace to work harder, which causes your heating bill to rise and you to pay more! We recommend changing your air filter every 3-6 months with larger filters, and once a month with 1-inch filters.

Much like your air filters, your air ducts push air through to your HVAC system. Over time they also collect debris, bacteria, and even dangerous contaminants like mold. If your air ducts are clogged, you’ll see an increase in your heating bill as your unit is working harder to keep you and your family comfortable during the winter months.
