Homemade Peach Ice Cream Recipe

If you’re looking for a way to entertain and occupy the kids as summer drags on without leaving home, make a batch of homemade ice cream together. Here’s a great recipe sure to tickle your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 pounds fresh peaches (peeled, pitted and chopped)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 fl oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk (approx.)

Directions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the peaches, sugar and half-and-half in batches.
  2. In a gallon ice cream maker, combine the peach mixture with sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour in enough whole milk to fill the container to the fill line.
  3. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream. Expect a delicious gallon of peach ice cream to be ready in about one hour.
